Who are you?
Has anyone ever asked you that before?
I’ve been told a handful of times, “Wow, you really know yourself.”
And to that, I say, yes and no.
I would say that I know myself for who I used to be and for who I am right now in the present moment.
See, it’s hard to say you truly know yourself when you’re constantly growing and evolving.
With constant change and self-discovery, how am I supposed to know who I am?
I would say that in this present moment, I know how I am feeling and what I am experiencing. I know what fills my cup and what crushes my soul. I know what brings joy to my life and what I’m afraid of.
But, tomorrow?
I don’t know that yet.
Just like all the future moments from now, I won’t know how I’ll be feeling, what I’ll be doing, where I’ll be at, or who I will be with.
The beauty of it all is that I get to learn who I am as I go.
Each moment; each experience, will teach me who I am becoming.
So, for now, I know who I am.
But tomorrow, next week, or years from now, well, I’m excited to get to know who I am then.
