Her words rang in my ears, and I cannot deny there was a little bit of bite in my gut as they hit home. “When we don’t bring our passion into the world, think of the people that we are keeping from their own healing”
I have honestly never thought of it that way, but I invite you to join me in this. Realize that all Spirit asks from you is to bring your divine gifts, your talents, your healthy mindset, and boundaries, your unique sense of purpose and drive, your ability to laugh and create and encourage and support, into the world.
We all have it. Sometimes, our sense of passion, feelings of purpose or meaning, is tucked so far beneath the clutter and the distraction of life that it feels completely foreign to us. As if it is something that belongs to others, but not to us. It’s easy to look into the world and especially with social media and such and see people who are absolutely nailing it, seemingly, every moment of every day. They are on point. They are crystal clear in their message. They just seem to know without question what they are here for. Whether they truly do or not, they LOOK like they do.
And then there’s the rest of us. Sometimes, oftentimes, we can feel like we are muddling along trying to figure it out day after day. Searching, wondering what is our gift to give. Spirit reminds us that we are the Divine gift.
When we share from within ourselves our experiences, when we get really honest and vulnerable with each other, we open wounds, yes, but also doors that lead to freedom and healing for ourselves and others.
When we deny the world our truest nature, we deny others what they need in order to heal.
YOU are what others need. YOU have the deep inner love and transparency that allows others to do their own work. By showing up as nothing more than your most authentic self, you experience your own passions, and lead others into their own unique light.
This conversation was a loving and firm reminder to myself, and I will offer it here for you as well, to remember that we are here holding a space of Service. Not to be the servant; not to take responsibility, or figure it out for everyone, or micromanage the people around us and tell them what to do. But a true service is open, honest and curious to see how others will fly when we can lovingly remind them they have wings.
Just a reminder.
Forever the journey, Anne
