I could think of thousands of examples if I try. So very many times when we are looking into the space of ‘new’ or ‘different’ we feel into our bodies an equal experience of love and fear. That part of us that is super excited by options and possibilities, and desired outcomes, and that part of us that just wants to crawl in a hole and hide… both are equally valid.
There is an ancient proverb that talks about choosing which wolf we want to feed, fear or love. Ultimately the choice will feed and nurture one, while starving the other.
How we choose to experience our lives is ultimately up to us.
The details of what happens are typically the same. Same people, players, circumstances, etc but when we choose love something magical happens; everything after that becomes more manageable. We have an easier time trusting that no matter what the outcome, that there is a higher purpose. We let go, and allow the Source vibration around us to provide for us, through us.
On a recent trip we were walking through a sculpture garden and came upon the above sculpture. The meaning it held for me as these two words shifted, melded and separated again as I walked around it was astonishing for me.
SOOO often love and fear are part of the same equation. As we journey through life they shift, they combine, they are like one and then one step later they begin to separate, and we have clarity of which one we are being led by. To believe we ‘should’ live in only love and never taste fear is unrealistic and what I call ‘toxic positivity.’ We as humans are designed for the full spectrum of emotions as we navigate life, and then there is something about attitude. The part that leads and becomes the filter for every moment and experience. I am all for having a positive attitude, as it allows us to experience what is true inside of us and then, like the sculpture, take one more step and feel love and fear begin to separate.
Choose love. Every chance you get. Choose it with purpose and commitment. Embrace it, and the mystery it brings to life.
Lean into what you feel, and then, as you move, see love more clearly.
Forever the journey, Anne
